New in deathnetworking is Facebook’s introduction of Timeline.
The Timeline is in effect the new Facebook ‘profile’. As you would expect, it is a timeline of your status updates and content uploads on Facebook, with an added twist: It goes as far back as your birth, if you want it to, and allows you to update life changing events in retrospect.
So, as the picture indicates, you can add important deaths to your timeline and people can comment. Unfortunately, unlike that relationship you slipped in and out of in 2008 (why I’ve never been “in a relationship” on facebook, folks) a death cannot be undone. I’m glad Zuckerberg is giving internet mortality a shot. People will like it, I promise!
