Are you interested in supporting the Death Positive Movement but don’t know where to start?
We are in need of people like you! Individuals who are committed to creating a better end-of-life experience for all to help us build the Death Positive Movement.
To tailor your experience, we have a couple of projects for you to choose from:
Community Presentation Project
Our volunteer program groups people by geographic region to research and facilitate free community workshops about end-of-life rights and options. There are roles for people with varying abilities, including folks who enjoy engaging with the public, and those who wish to work more independently.
In each geographic grouping there will be a Researcher and a Presenter. The Researcher is responsible for providing customized information for a base presentation created by The Order, which accurately reflects the current laws and resources available in their community. Their counterpart, the Presenter, then takes the customized presentation and schedules and hosts free workshops around their community. Your work will help people understand their most basic rights, but it will also create a space for more open conversations around death and dying.
National Database Project
Volunteers in this project will work together to research and compile a one-stop informational database of end-of-life rights, options, and protections for every part of the United States. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of people around the country.
Regardless of if you are selected as a volunteer, you will be notified via email. Please keep in mind that before volunteer work can begin, you will be required to complete a volunteer orientation and training.
